Everyone was very friendly, the place was clean and the food was very tasty and flavorful. I enjoyed the area but parking was a bit of a pain. I had a salad and loved the dressing and the pitas were warm, soft and fresh my wife had the chicken and they were huge pieces, moist and very good. We will be coming back every so often. I only wish they would of had tabbouleh to have with the pita bread. I have found that some to most Greek restaurants in Cali serve the tabbouleh but out of state I have not found any that do. All in all I think a great place.

Quick stop on our trip from glacier to Seattle- great choice! Kicking a/c, friendly server, and the meatiest souvlaki in history. Great quality food for this foodie

Family ran place straight from Greece, very friendly. Authentic food. I orders a Gyro to go. They are huge! Ask for feta cheese and peperoncinos on it. When I picked it up, all the other food looked amazing as well, especially the salads. I will be back!!!

The Olympia is not among all of the more touristy restaurants on Main St, but it's well worth going a little out of your way for. The Chicken & Lemon Soup was very refreshing, even on a hot day. The Pork Souvlaki was done just right and delicious. I couldn't resist the Chocolate Baklava and was pleasantly surprised at how nice it paired up with a KCCO Black Lager. In short, great food, great service and reasonable prices! Isn't that what it's all about?

The chicken gyro sandwich is amazing! We also got the hummus appetizer which was very good as well. I would definitely eat here again if given the opportunity (I'm not local). Service was fast and friendly.

Love this place, great family run restaurant... Food is excellent. Usually order the lamb kebob, but i think their dolamades are very good. My only complaint is a selfish one, I just wish they were open more often.

The hummus was bitter from too much garlic. The gyro platter had good meat, veges and potato. Pita was excellent as was the lemon chicken soup. They were out of 2 of 5 wine choices. Service friendly and price very reasonable. We might give it another try.

Wonderful food, well-prepared and nicely presented. Casual atmosphere. Many window tables look out on folks enjoying downtown Coeur d'Alene. Staff very pleasant and responsive. Very affordable.

Really nice medium priced Mediterranean food in CDA. Chicken is tender and Greek lemon soup is really good. Very friendly servers and staff. Just watch out for those downtown meter maids!

This unpretentious cafe has some really good food. I had the grill lamb plate, which is served with a Greek salad and pita bread. The meat portions are huge and cooked perfectly. The only negative was the meat was a little tough. The Greek salad was also very good. The pita bread and the cucumber sauce were very good. The server was friendly, efficient and responsive. I highly recommend this place.

I have only had a few dishes here, but my favorite thing to eat here is the soup... Lemon, chicken, creamy goodness!! It's amazing! And the service has always been wonderful, too! Try it, I just know you'll love it!

My buddy and I are trying out new restaurants around town. I've never had Greek, I've never had a Gyros. I am a fan! So delicious!

I've had my eye on this place for years. It is unassuming from the outside, but I was so hungry for lamb I thought I would try it. They knock it out of the park as far as I am concerned. I had the Sloyvakia lamb wrap. Big pieces of perfectly seasoned, perfectly grilled lamb chunks, tender and juicy. The wrap itself was so tender and delicate, buttery and grilled to perfection! The veggies were crisp and diced very small, and the taziki sauce was very nice. I had mine with feta. A pleasant surprise were the greek french fries, which appeared to be from fresh cut potatoes. My picky husband loved them. He had the pork sloyvakia. I tasted the meat, it was tender and delicious, just like the lamb. Trust me, we are extremely picky restaranteers, and hate eating out because we are usually quite disappointed. But not so at the Olympia. The prices by the way, are VERY reasonable for what you get. I was stuffed when we left. A good value, great food!

Excellent gyros. You can order them with extra meat, but quite honestly, I don't know where they would pack it, mine was so full. The Baba Ganoush was very garlicky, but tasty, and the pita bread was A+: fluffy, flavorful, incredible. The place seemed understaffed. We finally walked to the register to get our bill, and our poor waitress was pulling her hair trying to figure things out. Guys, it's Ironman weekend! Please staff accordingly!

I've came here at least eight times and I am still impressed by the experience. The restaurant is small which means that your waiter constantly checks in and your food is ready shortly after you order it. Their gyros are just delicious, you always want more! Whenever I am in Coeur d'Alene, this is one of my top choices for lunch. I would highly recommend Olympia to my friends and family!

If you are in Coeur d'Alene and you like Greek food you MUST try Olympia - it is amazing - the best Greek food I've ever had, and I've tried a lot! It's off the Main Street by a block, but be sure to find it. A casual atmosphere, but friendly, comfortable and well priced. The food is just the best!!!

Just okay. I love Greek, so I thought I would love it. Baba gannoush was too garlicky. It tasted of raw garlic. Service was super slow and I attentive. I think the gal was new. She kept forgetting her writing pad. I had the chicken gyro, the meat texture was weird. Soft. Super garlicky and the iceberg lettuce was wilty. My husband thought the gyro meat wasn't typical. Maybe MSG? Or maybe MORE authentic than what we normally get?

I dined here on a Sat with a party of four. The server was very friendly and attentive. I had the grilled chicken gyro with feta cheese and Greek fries. The portion size was very fair for the price and we all left happy.

Cute little place with great wait staff. Very friendly and attentive. It's actually a great place to study. They have free wi-fi! If you have a fixin for a gyro...come here. It's pretty tasty.

Service was excellent, server was friendly & knowledgeable! We ordered the sampler with dolmades, falafel, gyro meat, hummus, tzatzki, pita, and a lamb skewer. The lamb was perfectly cooked and the hummus was some if the best I've had. You HAVE TO ORDER THE SAGANAKI! Heaven on a plate.

Our family loves this place. The food is fantastic, the staff is friendly and the cooks/owners are Greek. What more could you ask for? Portions are great and they have a kids grilled cheese that works well for the little ones. Fries are naughty yummy... Can't go wrong with any of the gyros, pita and hummus - don't skip the baklava.

  • Tyler B.

My wife and I eat here often. The gyros are tasty, the salads and falafel are very good as well. I love all their appetizers, especially the dolmades! The prices are fair and the service is always nice and friendly.

What a find this was in Coeur D Alene! Not too expensive, plenty of good food and it's family run. We had the lamb kabobs and it came with 2 skewers of tender tasty lamb, with a side order of yummy potatoes and green beans. We also ordered hummus and pita bread which was also very good. If you like a family run Greek restaurant with big portions of good food and not too expensive, this is the place to go in Coeur D Alene and it's only a block off the main street.

Great food and terrific service. Prices are very reasonable, too. One of my favorite places in CdA.

Great food ... great price! The gyro with feta was terrific and the chicken lemon soup delicious. The gyro was stuffed with meat and almost a full dinner in itself.

This is one of my favorite places to eat. My favorites are: chicken lemon orzo soup, chicken gyro with feta, and fresh hummus with warm pita bread. Yum!

We found the Olympia open for dinner and jumped at the chance to try the food. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had the lamb kabobs and did not regret it. Don't forget to get some horseradish to augment the lamb. The flavors were wonderful and the food was prepared to my specs (I ordered the lamb medium rare and it was right on). The decor is simple and inviting. Our server kept saying Eva makes it this way, or Eva recommends this, etc. Well Eva was there and we got to thank her personally for the wonderful meal. A really nice owner with a strong commitment to family (ask her why she's not open for dinner on Monday). The Olympia is on my return-to list. Highly recommended.

Not a fancy atmosphere but the waitress was super friendly and met our every need. Best Gyro in a long time. Loved the seasoned Greek French fries. Would stop here again if we were in the area.

Ooooooh boy! Have not been to a place like this in a long time. Authentic Greek food, well prepared and flavor overpowers any other sensation other than wonderful aromas coming off of your plate. We did lunch and if we did not want to try other places in CDA would have eaten here exclusively as it was so good. Ordered dolmades, thinking that they would be a small appetizer and were blown away by those fat boys stuffed with beef, rice and Greek herbs that were slathered with the most wonderful warm lemon sauce ever. OH, they were just outstanding. I could have eaten a bowl of the sauce and maybe that IS their Avgo Lemono soup minus the orzo? The gyros were also yummy. We were eating prior to going on the eagle watch boat tour, so did not have a lot of time, so did settle for these Greek standards and were not disappointed. Pitas packed with seasoned, just sliced gyro meat along with the lettuce, onion, tomato and dripping tzatziki sauce. Yes, you had to wash your hands afterward, but that was well worth the sensory experience. A busy place with just about 10 tables, so come early or late around prime times for lunch and dinner. Prices very reasonable and portions generous and all made to order. Lots of options, like chicken or beef, with or without feta, vegetarian and salads. Dinner menu is very inviting. Gotta go back...you do too.

One of our favorites! I'll admit that I like to support the non-chain, locally run establishments. I'm a lover of small, "hole-in-the-wall", family run restaurants. The place isn't fancy, but the food is good, and for the most part, seems to be made with care. I would have given 5 stars, but I was mistakenly served a slightly cold moussaka type dish once. With that said, we are return customers. I highly recommend them. Try the lamb plate or their herb chicken on a Greek salad.

This is an awesome place for delicious Greek food. They have the best Pita bread ever. The spanakopita was delightful. We loved the avgolemono (chicken lemon soup) was so light and delicious. The gyro was yumo without the greasiness of other gyro meat.

I've eaten gyros a few times in my life and never had one that I liked, nonetheless love. On the waitress's recommendation, I ordered the gyro with feta. This is the best gyro I've ever had! The meat is great and the meat portions are generous. Extra meat is also an option if you want even more meat. My BF agrees. I've found myself driving 30 min (From Spokane) just to get here for their gyros.

Excellent food! Looked a littlescary from the outside but definitely worth the trip inside. We went just after the lunch rush, so the service was really good. The feta dip was to die for. No really...To. Die. For. The gyros were fantastic. They had some nice vegetarian options as well. My only regret is that my stomach wasn't quite big enough to sample their desserts.

The gyro is amazing and, as my husband said, "it will haunt your dreams." Very charming little Greek restaurant. We found while walking the main street in CDA. There was a little sign that indicated delicious Greek food was only one block away. Tempting, right? We were seated quickly by a friendly waitress. They have a wide selection of entrees as well as full dinner specials that include soup or salad and pita. Looked like street parking only but it's close to everything else down town if you're already in the area. We ordered the pita and hummus appetizer, which was delicious. The pita was perfectly warmed, ever so lightly buttered, and toasted. The hummus had a lot of flavor and was great with a dash of paprika on top. We also tried the greek fries, which were delicious with paprika, spices and a hint of lemon on top. There was plenty of gyro on the menu: gyro plate, gyro salad, gyro sandwich, gyro pizza... you get the picture. It was perfect. I highly recommend the gyro pizza which was topped with feta, onions and green bell peppers. The gyro sandwich (so in a pita) with extra gyro and feta looked fabulous. We went here twice in our 2 day vacation it was so good.

My husband and I love this restaurant! The gyros are good, the fries are always crispy and hot, and the servers are always nice. My favorites are the spanakopita, skordalia (not on the menu, but served as a special sometimes), and the dolmades! The dolmades sauce is amazing...I even ask for it on the falafel gyro when I get it. Soooo good!

Great Greek in Idaho? I was surprised. Gyro was very flavorful, I had the chicken. Staff was so sweet & personable. It was a busy lunch rush but she still found time to chat without leaving any tables hanging. Saganaki was great! Avolemeno soup was really good too.

Really enjoyed lunch here yesterday. Hummus and Baba ganoush were great starters. Gyros were well made and exactly what we expected. Service was friendly and attentive. Prices were great for the area.

Good gyros, friendly service & kid-friendly. We had a big group with lots of kids, and this place definitely felt like a family establishment. Would definitely visit again.

The best gyros in the area! The rest of the menu is excellent as well and for the price the best Greek food value for hundreds of miles. The always friendly staff and the simple and clean setting make a visit to this place a pleasant experience. My family has been here too mnay times to count and we keep going back. If it starts to get to crowded, I'll have to change my review.

Best Greek food my fiance and I have had. This is a must go whenever we visit ID. Our only complaint are some awkward hours so call ahead to confirm when they are open.

Quality counts, and the owner of this restaurant clearly goes to great lengths to get the best, freshest, most authentic ingredients. As a result, the food here is excellent. It isn't gourmet food; it is Greek homestyle cooking at its finest. The qyros is simply the best I've ever had. I was only there the once, so the gyros is the only menu item I can personally attest to, but my companions are longtime clients of this restaurant and assure me everything on the menu is equally good.

We were on a trip from Orange County to Missoula and over to Seattle and back down. We passed through northern Idaho on a rainy day when we couldn't see a thing. Had no idea where we were going, but stumbled upon this Greek restaurant and stopped. We love Greek food and have been eating it for years, from when we lived in New York City to today in Southern California. We have been all over. The food we had at The Olympia was the best we have ever had. We just had the soup of the day, I believe it was some kind of barley based soup, a Greek salad, some baked vegetables, and calamari. Truly, truly delicious. In an atmosphere so simple you would never suspect how good it was going to be. I believe the owners were actually doing the cooking. We walked out of the restaurant, got into our van, and looked at each other, stunned! It was the special!! I am not sure we will ever get back there. But on that one rainy Friday, my wife and I had a meal we will forever remember.

Best Greek food I've ever eaten!!! The Gyro Pita is amazing!!! I wasn't sure if I should try it or not, because I had not had real gyro meat before, so the nice woman brought me a free sample!!! And by sample....I mean a huge slug of meat. The pitas are big enough to give me two meals(I eat small meals generally). The tzatziki is the best. It's delicious. I loved that they had praprika in a shaker like seasoning salt! That was awesome and unique. All in all...I would recommend this to anybody, especially if you haven't experienced Greek food....this will make you fall in love!

Being new to the area, my boyfriend and I are trying out the local fare. Third day in Idaho (after one of the worst snowstorms in recent history) and we were trying to navigate the snowy streets of Downtown CDA. Not faring so well and starving, we decided to get out and walk. Walked by this place advertising Gyros, and well I'm a sucker for Gyros. Super friendly staff greeted us (everyone in Idaho seems to be extremely nice) and sat us down. Lots of yummy sounding things on the menu, but I came for the Gyros. Ordered the Lamb Gyro, and was quite happy! Tzatziki sauce was super good (messy but good) and lamb was cooked perfectly. Fries were good too (made even better by a healthy helping of paprika!) It was so tasty, that we (almost) forgot about the less than perfect conditions outside. I will have to come back and try some of the other offerings!
